At Creekside Veterinary Services, we are passionate about building community in rural veterinary practice. One way we do this is by offering hands-on learning experiences through externships and summer student positions for veterinary and veterinary technology students.
Why Choose Creekside?
Our practice is rooted in rural, large animal medicine — serving a strong base of cow/calf and equine clients in southwest Saskatchewan. Students gain real-world experience by working alongside our experienced veterinarians and team in a fast-paced, supportive environment. While our primary focus is large animal care, we also provide a smaller volume of small animal and small ruminant services.
What You Can Expect:
Exposure to a diverse caseload, including bovine, equine, small ruminant, and some small animal
Participation in farm calls, routine herd work, emergencies, and procedures
Involvement in client communication and treatment planning
A team that values collaboration, curiosity, and growth
Who Should Apply:
Veterinary students seeking externship placements (flexible timing and duration)
